  • Part of the core developers of the Chapel programming language .
  • Working to add support for muliple external open-source libraries like Apache Arrow and Parquet
  • Working in a sprint like development cycle in a remote environment.

Working as a preceptor for Statistical Inference in Management under Professor Brent Marinan
Roles, Responsibilities, and Achievements:

  • Ported Haskell code into C++ to increase efficiency
  • Responsible for generating test cases for C data structures. Wrote over 6000 lines of tests
  • Collaborate with 10 people from different technological, educational, and cultural backgrounds
  • Experience with Java CUP to implement compiler tasks to get a performance benchmark against other expert parsing tools

  • Responsible to instruct students in the course content and engage them in an interactive learning experience despite of the challenges that the Covid 19 pandemic presented
  • Hold office hours each week online in order to execute the above responsibilities with a commitment of devoting 10 hours a week.

Current and Upcoming Prospects

In the summer of 2021, I am interning with HPE as part of the Chapel Programming Language group. This internship is a great opportunity for me to apply my expereinces and programming skills that I have gained to the problems in the industry. I hope to also bring to use my growing business sense and organizations skills that will help me work better as part of a team.
